REPORT OF BSB MEETING HELD ON FRIDAY 14th SEPTEMBER, 2018
The meeting started at exactly 12:00noon with a worship session led by Oladapo Adeleye and opening prayer by Pastor Hannah Oyebanjo.
Fola Ogunsola, the convener of Believers in Sustainable Business came up to address the Networking & Referral Groups, she welcomed both old and new members while highlighting the purpose of BSB, she went further to stress the needs to do things right by Believers especially issues of documentation. She explained that BSB isn’t about sharing money but a place that can help you build your business by gaining grants and connecting you with the right people. She enumerated several ways to help sustain a business. She emphasized on how beneficial it is for business owners to come together for mutual growth through partnership alluding to the Networking & Referral Groups.
At the end of her session, she ran through the success stories of BSB and also introduced professionals in the house that can help proffer solutions; the likes of Seun Ajibade who handles feasibility studies, business plans and proposals, Tolu Fadulu who can help with accounting services, software installation, ledger preparations etc. She further stressed on the need to be well informed because ignorance should no longer be an excuse in this day and age, she gave an example of Microsoft who released funds to a reputable bank but might as well get their money back because people are not willing to take up the opportunity due to lack of information.
There was a Q & A session after which Fola Ogunsola introduced Wale Ogunsola appreciating his efforts at Marketing Training modules in the last 2 monthly BSB meetings.
Wale Ogunsola gave a substantial talk on “Family Finances” discussing issues like being financially secure on the family front, giving examples on how to battle family pressures, children’s school fund etc, he also hinted the need for insurance.
Fola Ogunsola brought the meeting to a close by reviewing the BSB Checklist and that of BOI on requirements for accessing loans of different categories (below or above N10million) and Pastor Oyebanjo gave the closing prayers.
